Woman Utilizes FlexJobs’ Membership Perks to Quickly Find Remote Job

While a FlexJob membership gives you full access to all of our job postings, there’s more to a membership than jobs. Members also have access to special savings on products and services, discounts for career coaching, and free skills testing. While these extras can save you money, they can also teach you the skills to help you find and get a job quickly.

That’s what Art M. discovered when she joined FlexJobs. For her, the job postings were only part of what she enjoyed with her membership. Aside from jobs, she benefitted from other membership perks and found not only a job but a reminder that she is a capable and skilled individual.

In Search of Flexibility

Art had been a nurse for over 15 years. However, she leads “a transient lifestyle” and wanted a more flexible and non-traditional way to serve patients. “I dabbled in travel and per diem nursing. Neither of these options truly gave me the flexibility I longed for.”

Art took advantage of all the benefits a FlexJobs membership offers and used them to help her land her new job as a Care Coach with Ontrak, Inc. Her successful job search started with researching the company and deciding whether or not she believed in the company’s mission and values.

Taking her job search a step further, Art then researched company culture to see if she would be a good fit. Then, she researched the HR contacts to “find a common bond to include in the cover letter.” Lastly, she says, she “tailored her resume and cover letter to each specific job.”

Thanks to FlexJobs, I applied on Sunday, was invited to interview less than 24-hours later, and had a written offer in my inbox four days after that. It feels like a dream, and I am forever grateful for it. Talk about a return on investment!”

That doesn’t mean her job search was easy. There were plenty of days when Art felt down about her job search. When that happened, she would “venture over to the FlexJobs assessment center to remind myself who I am and that I can do this.” And, now, thanks to her flexible and remote job, she “knows who I am.”
